Change the frame: Insult is truth wrapped in coarse expression. If I call a thin person fat, they will not feel insulted, but if I call a fat person fat they will. Unless there’s some truth to what is said, you don’t feel insulted. Any time someone insults you, rather than resenting the person, focus on the truth element of the insult. The person who insulted you inadvertently pointed out the flaw for you to overcome. Work on it. Hooray for insults!
