A modern woman can not be happy because she wants to be happy like a man. Media and feminist propaganda have brainwashed her to think that dependency and subservience towards man is oppression, hence she is not happy in marriage. She wants to rather be "strong and independent" and enjoy all freedom that the society affords men. This serves her well for a while, but once youth and beauty alienate her post the age of 30-35, she recoils into emptiness and depression and effectively becomes a living zombie.
