Politicians lie not necessarily because they're bad, but because the masses are stupid in that they make decisions based on emotions not facts.
If a politician did not lie, the lying one will get the votes. Hence, they all must lie.
If you catch a politician lying and say that therefore they're bad, well, you don't understand first thing about how humans get influenced.
